Gtaw welder wanted in Cass County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Cass County, Iowa. Requirements: • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances Day to day you will inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
