Reinforcement steel fixer wanted in McDowell County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a reinforcement steel fixer in McDowell County, West Virginia. You will work at a high-rise construction project. On a typical shift you will cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder; tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers; lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman; keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust; read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules. Ideal candidate: • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. $3,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
