Immediate opening: we are hiring an auto painter in Montgomery County, Iowa. You will work in a car refinishing workshop. Ideal candidate: • 2+ years' experience in automotive refinishing • Good eye for colour matching and blending • Able to mix paint by weight on a scale Day to day you will blend new paint into adjacent panels for an invisible repair; wipe down panels with degreaser and a tack cloth before spraying; mask off trim, glass and rubber seals with tape and paper; apply body filler and block-sand to a smooth contour; compound and polish the cured finish to a high gloss.
