Now hiring: we are hiring a wet plasterer in Clinton County, Illinois. On the job you will handle: • Skim plasterboard to a smooth finish ready for decoration • Patch and repair cracked, blown or hollow plaster • Apply scratch coats and key the surface for the next coat • Float and rule off walls to a flat surface with a straightedge You should have: • Own set of trowels, floats, hawk and buckets • Knowledge of different plasters, renders and bonding agents • Able to mix plaster to the right consistency by feel Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
