Milling machine operator wanted in South Tyneside

Vacancy available: we are hiring a milling machine operator in South Tyneside, England. The job is in a CNC machining unit. You should have: • Good eyesight and steady hands for close-tolerance work • Able to grind and set HSS cutters • Safety conscious and comfortable wearing PPE around moving machinery On the job you will handle: • Keep in-process inspection records and log production counts • Set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe • Measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges • Set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter • Carry out daily lubrication and routine machine maintenance • Read engineering drawings and GD&T to plan the machining sequence Full-time, day shift. Pay around £2,200 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
