Immediate opening: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Malheur County, Oregon. Requirements: • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces On a typical shift you will rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; read lift plans and method statements before starting; fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use.
