Milling machinist — Somerset County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a milling machinist in Somerset County, Maine. The job is in a toolroom. Requirements: • Physically fit to stand and lift workpieces • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges On the job you will handle: • Machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing • Monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters • Load and edit CNC programs (G-code) at the Fanuc/Siemens control • Select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors • Set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. Meals and transport allowance provided. We offer $3,700 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
