Garment machinist — McNairy County

Join our team: we are hiring a garment machinist in McNairy County, Tennessee. You will work on a ready-made garment production line. On the job you will handle: • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet Requirements: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
