Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Able to pass a weld test on the spot You will set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise.
