Immediate opening: we are hiring a pipe TIG welder in Tulare County, California. The job is on a structural steel site. Requirements: • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols On the job you will handle: • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut Rotating shifts.
