Rebar fixer — Brown County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a rebar fixer in Brown County, Indiana. You will be based on a civil engineering bridge and roads site. What we are looking for: • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing The role involves: • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
