Immediate opening: we are hiring a gas pipe fitter in Schuyler County, New York. You should have: • Able to read isometric and site drawings • Sound knowledge of gas safety regulations and pressure testing Day-to-day duties: • Run polyethylene (PE) service pipe and electrofusion-weld the joints • Complete gas safety certificates and label the finished installation • Check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray • Locate and repair gas leaks and replace corroded pipe sections • Fix pipe clips, brackets and wall sleeves and sleeve pipe through walls • Read isometric drawings and mark out the pipe routes $3,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
