Furnace operator wanted in Saint Lucie County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a furnace operator in Saint Lucie County, Florida. What we are looking for: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor Day-to-day duties: • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand Six days a week, one day off.
