Urgent requirement: we are hiring a gas appliance installer in Lee County, Georgia. The job is on residential and apartment building sites. Day-to-day duties: • Purge air from the lines and commission appliances to the correct gas rate • Thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant • Locate and repair gas leaks and replace corroded pipe sections • Fix pipe clips, brackets and wall sleeves and sleeve pipe through walls • Carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply • Install flue and chimney terminals and check for adequate ventilation Ideal candidate: • Able to read isometric and site drawings • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces • Physically fit for lifting pipe, meters and cylinders Rotating shifts.
