Gas service engineer • Choctaw County, Alabama

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a gas service engineer in Choctaw County, Alabama. The job is on commercial and industrial sites. Day-to-day duties: • Purge air from the lines and commission appliances to the correct gas rate • Braze copper gas lines and weld carbon-steel pipe joints • Thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant • Carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply • Run polyethylene (PE) service pipe and electrofusion-weld the joints • Locate and repair gas leaks and replace corroded pipe sections What we are looking for: • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces • Able to read isometric and site drawings Full-time, day shift.
