Join our team: we are hiring a furnace operator in Dallas County, Texas. The role involves: • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture Requirements: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
