Now hiring: we are hiring a die-casting operator in Lake County, South Dakota. The job is on the moulding line. The role involves tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Basic grinding and fettling skills Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
