Dogger wanted in City of Bristol

Now hiring: we are hiring a dogger in City of Bristol, England. You will be based on an offshore oil and gas platform. The role involves: • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Read lift plans and method statements before starting • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller Requirements: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles 3+ years on the tools preferred.
