Vacancy available: we are hiring a blocklayer in Cook County, Georgia. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets On the job you will handle: • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
