Fettler — Carteret County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a fettler in Carteret County, North Carolina. What we are looking for: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Basic grinding and fettling skills On the job you will handle: • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together Full-time, day shift. We offer $18 per hour plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
