Immediate opening: we are hiring a retail butcher in Hertfordshire, England. Requirements: • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day On the job you will handle: • Trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts • Weigh, price and label cuts for the display case • Stuff and link fresh sausages with casings • Vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders • Season and marinate meat on request • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
