Automotive refinish painter — Tompkins County

Vacancy available: we are hiring an automotive refinish painter in Tompkins County, New York. Your main tasks: • Mix two-pack (2K) clear coat with hardener in the correct ratio • Wipe down panels with degreaser and a tack cloth before spraying • Bake panels in the spray booth oven to cure the paint • Apply etch primer to aluminium and galvanised panels • Set the spray gun air pressure and fan pattern for an even finish • Blend new paint into adjacent panels for an invisible repair What we are looking for: • Physically fit to stand, bend and crouch for long periods • Sound knowledge of 2K paints, primers and hardeners • Skilled with HVLP and gravity-feed spray guns Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
