We are recruiting: we are hiring a trowel-trade bricklayer in Stokes County, North Carolina. The job is on a scaffolded high-rise site. Ideal candidate: • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks The role involves setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays; erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts; pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod.
