Urgent requirement: we are hiring a site carpenter in Mono County, California. The role involves finish surfaces with varnish, wax, lacquer or wood stain; hang internal and external doors, fitting hinges, locks and handles; assemble bespoke and flat-pack kitchen units and fit worktops; erect formwork and shuttering for concrete pours; cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet. Requirements: • CSCS card for site-based work an advantage • Sound knowledge of timber types, grades and fixings • Physically fit to lift, kneel and work at height Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
