Join our team: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Midlothian, Scotland. On a typical shift you will read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; carry out 6G pipe welds where required; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions. You should have: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
