Sample machinist wanted in Tioga County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a sample machinist in Tioga County, Pennsylvania. Requirements: • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching On a typical shift you will thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go; press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation. Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. $3,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Contact us to fix an interview.
