Now hiring: we are hiring a framing carpenter in Attala County, Mississippi. The job is at a kitchen and furniture manufacturer. Ideal candidate: • Accurate to fine tolerances on finish work • Able to read technical drawings and cutting lists Your main tasks: • Erect formwork and shuttering for concrete pours • Finish surfaces with varnish, wax, lacquer or wood stain • Measure and mark out timber using a tape, square and marking gauge • Cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet • Check work for level, plumb and square with a spirit level • Assemble bespoke and flat-pack kitchen units and fit worktops Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
