Immediate opening: we are hiring a bricklayer in Orangeburg County, South Carolina. On a typical shift you will setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge; forming arches, piers and reveals around openings; building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts. Ideal candidate: • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
