Immediate opening: we are hiring a GTAW welder in Stark County, Illinois. The job is at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. On the job you will handle: • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run Ideal candidate: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
