Urgent requirement: we are hiring a garment machinist in Fremont County, Iowa. The job is at a busy garment factory. Requirements: • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line Your main tasks: • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line Overtime paid at a premium rate.
