Immediate opening: we are hiring a brick mason in Norton County, Kansas. The job is at a renovation and extension job. The role involves building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; forming arches, piers and reveals around openings; building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge. Ideal candidate: • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) Pay around $4,800 per month, based on your experience.
