Great opportunity: we are hiring a groundskeeper in Avoyelles Parish, Louisiana. The job is at a private estate garden. Ideal candidate: • Previous experience as a gardener or in grounds maintenance • Valid driving licence for travel between sites • Good knowledge of common plants, shrubs and seasonal planting On a typical shift you will sharpen, clean and oil hand tools and mower blades; lay turf and oversow bare patches of lawn; dig over and turn the soil and prepare seedbeds; repot nursery stock and pot on cuttings; spray pesticides and fungicides to control pests and disease.
