Immediate opening: we are hiring an argon welder in Franklin County, Iowa. You will work in a food and dairy equipment factory. You should have: • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) On a typical shift you will control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding. 3+ years on the tools preferred. Pay around $15 per hour, based on your experience. Six days a week, one day off. Share your details and we will call you back.
