Join our team: we are hiring a gas metal arc welder in Ogle County, Illinois. What we are looking for: • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes On a typical shift you will grind back and re-weld any defective runs; control distortion with a balanced welding sequence; maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose; set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator; change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch. 1+ years on the tools preferred. $3,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
