Canteen cook — Amherst County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a canteen cook in Amherst County, Virginia. The job is at a busy restaurant kitchen. The role involves: • Chop, dice and portion vegetables, fish and meat • Follow standardised recipes and stick to portion sizes • Taste and adjust seasoning for consistency • Plate and garnish dishes for a quick pass to service • Monitor food temperatures and run regular HACCP checks • Prepare stocks, sauces and soups from scratch Ideal candidate: • Willing to work split shifts, weekends and public holidays • Food hygiene / FoSTaC certificate Part-time with flexible hours.
