Join our team: we are hiring a reinforcement steel fixer in Dawes County, Nebraska. The job is on an infrastructure project such as a metro or flyover. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing The role involves: • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing 1+ years on the tools preferred. $24 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
