Great opportunity: banksman (Colorado)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a banksman in San Miguel County, Colorado. You will work in a steel fabrication yard. The role involves secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads. Ideal candidate: • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams Full-time with occasional weekends.
