Sample machinist • Clay County, South Dakota

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a sample machinist in Clay County, South Dakota. You should have: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus Your main tasks: • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish At least 6 year(s) in a similar role. Pay around $3,200 per month, based on your experience. Meals and transport allowance provided. Full-time with occasional weekends. Contact us to fix an interview.
