We are recruiting: we are hiring a rebar foreman in Scott County, Virginia. Day to day you will set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift; cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder; read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules; bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine; lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors; place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing. You should have: • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
