Crane rigger — Okobo

Join our team: we are hiring a crane rigger in Okobo, Akwa Ibom State. You will work in a steel fabrication yard. Day-to-day duties: • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area • Take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings • Coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift Ideal candidate: • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
