Now hiring: we are hiring a finish carpenter in Hinds County, Mississippi. On the job you will handle: • Measure and mark out timber using a tape, square and marking gauge • Glue, clamp, screw and dowel joints together • Lay laminate, engineered and solid wood flooring • Cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet • Finish surfaces with varnish, wax, lacquer or wood stain • Apply edge banding, veneers and laminate to board What we are looking for: • Physically fit to lift, kneel and work at height • CSCS card for site-based work an advantage • Able to read technical drawings and cutting lists Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
