Immediate opening: we are hiring a CO2 welder in Finney County, Kansas. Your main tasks: • Clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Read fabrication drawings and weld symbols • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose What we are looking for: • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Willing to work shifts and overtime • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
