Steel erection rigger wanted in Polk County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Polk County, Iowa. You should have: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces Day to day you will select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks; take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings; check sling angles to stay within the working load limit. Meals and transport allowance provided. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
