Requirements: • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances • ITI in welder trade or equivalent The role involves: • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
