Now hiring: we are hiring a captain waiter in Rensselaer County, New York. You will be based in a five-star hotel. What we are looking for: • Ability to carry loaded trays and stay on your feet for long shifts • Clear spoken communication and a polite, friendly manner • Basic numeracy for handling cash, bills and change Day to day you will greet guests, seat them and present the menu; handle guest complaints and escalate to the captain or manager; punch orders through to the kitchen as a KOT (kitchen order ticket); restock side stations with sauces, condiments and napkins.
