Great opportunity: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Greer County, Oklahoma. The job is on a structural steel site. Day to day you will grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer. You should have: • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces $5,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
