Requirements: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding The role involves tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities.
