GTAW welder — Ottawa County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a GTAW welder in Ottawa County, Michigan. What we are looking for: • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces Day to day you will inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size. Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. We offer $200 per day plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
