Requirements: • Strong record-keeping and incident-reporting skills • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot Day to day you will take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry; run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry; check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements; inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height.
