Great opportunity: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Matanuska-Susitna Borough, Alaska. You will be based in a food and dairy equipment factory. Ideal candidate: • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day On the job you will handle: • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
